Vickus Horne, is a multifaceted artist hailing from Cape Town, where his days are now filled with the rhythmic hums, strums, bobs, and taps that reflect his profound connection to music.  Vickus performs as a solo artist as well as with his band Cherry Vynil.
BACKGROUND: I
nitially overshadowed by a passion for acting, Vickus discovered his love for music when he picked up a guitar at the age of 19, just before embarking on theatre studies at Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria, South Africa.
Once the infectious allure of music took hold, there was no turning back.
While still actively engaged in the world of acting through a professional agency in Cape Town, Vickus has expanded his artistic horizons. He serves as the music director at Front Row Music, a notable music school in Cape Town, and co-owns the events company Northern Lights. Adding another layer to his artistic repertoire, Vickus is the frontman of the indie rock band Cherry Vynil and has also performed under the solo name Vic Horne.
Influenced by musical giants like the Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, the John Butler Trio, and Counting Crows—each known for their jazzy, vibrant, and heartfelt sounds—Vickus aspires to create music that is as authentic and soulful as that of his idols. Whether he’s captivating audiences on stage as an actor or pouring his heart into his musical endeavors, Vickus Horne is on a quest to make his mark in the world of entertainment, driven by a deep passion for genuine and soul-stirring artistic expression.
